We had a spectacular Christmas and received more than we deserve! It was so much fun having Jackson this year. He had no clue what was going on but he enjoyed the wrapping paper, bows, and pushing around the boxes...oh and of course playing with the dog! We are so very blessed and we thank our Heavenly Father each day for all of our blessings, and especially our family. Enjoy some pictures of our wonderful Christmas and family.Grandpa VW and Jackson on Christmas morning

November and December 2009
November was a great month that flew by! Pheasant season opened in Kansas, Josh got his first pheasant with the first shot he took from his first shot gun! He and Scott had fun trampling through the mud and cold while hunting! We had Grandma VW come visit for a weekend and Grandpa and Grandma Neuman come for a week for Thanksgiving! Colby also saw some of it's first snow of the season and in result the air turned extremely cold! I didn't get any pictures of that though.
All ready for Thanksgiving dinner!
Josh and his pheasant. We grilled it up and I actually liked it!
Jackson enjoying a highchair at IHOP in Denver. After Thanksgiving was over, it was time to get ready for Christmas! I was so excited to have our own little Christmas at home this year. Jackson was super excited too and he loved crawling all over the boxes! He has plenty of boxes to crawl on now that we've pretty well boxed up our whole house in Colby!
We finally got Jackson a highchair which has been amazing. What was I thinking in waiting so long? He loves being able to sit and eat with us!
Our little man turned 9 months in Dec. He's been cutting teeth like crazy, and is turning in to a wild man! He's ALWAYS happy, gets into everything (see pics below) and we love him so much! He still doesn't take good naps so I haven't figured that one out.

Jackson absolutely adores my parent's dog Roxie! They are pretty hilarious together too. Jackson likes to share his bottle with the dog, and loves feeding herhis food. Every morning at my parent's house Jackson wants to go see Roxie. They chase each other and beg for food together (that's what they are doing above).

Happy New Year 2010!!
Happy New Year! We are looking forward to a spectacular 2010! For those of you that don't know, the last month or so have been a bit crazy for our family. Lindsey was unexpectedly laid off from her job in Kansas due to financial problems in the practice she was working in. She has been searching and applying for jobs in several states and at this point we'll most likely end up in either Utah or Arizona. Due to the lay off, we were able to go to Utah much earlier than anticipated for the holidays and we are still at Lindseys parent's house until we know for sure where our next adventure will be. I am going to try to give several updates since I am so far behind! Again, happy New Year to all and we truly hope that this is a great year for all of our friends and family!Grandpa and Grandma VW with Jackson

October 2009
The past month has been full of adventures and full of our Jackson who goes, goes, goes, all day long....until about 8ish when he becomes super tired, and then he sleeps like a rock until around 6-7am. Then the little machine starts all over again! He does take a few cat naps throughout the day, but those aren't as consistent. As you can see from some pictures below, he is into everything and we have to keep a close watch to make sure he stays out of "danger". Recently he has been teething and he has one tooth on the bottom that will be coming through any day now.
We started our month off in Colorado at a cabin owned by some great friends, the Mitchell's. We were able to spend a weekend there and enjoy the beauty of the fall, wildlife, and 4 wheeling. Thanks for the great weekend! Josh has also been able to go out hunting for coyotes a couple times which he has enjoyed. Other than that, it's been a routine month of chasing Jackson, working, and school for Josh. We took Jackson out trick or treating to a few homes last night and then spent the rest of our Halloween volunteering at the local haunted house which was a lot of fun. We are so excited for the upcoming months getting into the spirit of Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Hope you enjoy the pictures of our little life that we love! There's a bunch in no order!
Jackson and his friend Kalyssa before treat or treating last night.

We give him rides in this box and he loves it! Amazing how much entertainment a box can give!
At the local highschool football game! Jackson gets bundled in his snow suit!
Jackson on the 4 wheeler with Dad, he loved it of course.

Last week we took Jackson to a school Halloween party, is he the cutest bat ever?
Helping with Sunday lunch? No, just exploring the fridge!
Love that his feet are crossed in this picture!
We did finally move the plant, got sick of cleaning up dirt...

7 months

Our little man continues to grow and be the highlight of our lives. Jackson had a check up and shots today so we were able to get his new stats:
Length: 28 in (76%)
Weight: 17 lbs 8oz (26%)
Although he continues to be on the lower side for his weight, he has actually gained about 4 lbs this past month so we were thrilled! He continues to be the curious little boy that he is, crawling like a mad man everywhere and getting into everything. He loves to stand up anywhere and on anything! He loves anything that mom or dad has and wants to be included in everything. He continues to be such a good boy. I love my mornings with him. He has started going to bed between 8 and 830pm and getting up at 7am. We have finally let him cry the couple times he wakes up at night and so far we've had some great success. The longest he cried was for 20 minutes and then he slept soundly the remainder of the night. So, needless to say, we should have done that one a long time ago! And, getting up at 7 is no big deal when you get to play with the sweetest little boy on the planet! I love being a mom and only wish I could spend all day everyday with Jackson.

6 Months.....Already????
I can't believe my baby is 6 months old. Wow, time really flies. It is so fun to see him grow and develop but it makes me sad to think that he is growing so fast. He is the sweetest little guy in all the world, he is such a joy to have around. He amazes Josh and I daily with how fast he grows and catches on to things. Just last night he grabbed a hold of the laundry basket and pulled himself up...then I put him to bed in his crib but he still thought it was time to play so I sat on the floor in the dark to watch him...he pulled himself up there too and was bouncing. We had to lower his bed down! Is this normal??? He's growing up too fast! I don't have his 6 month stats yet but enjoy some of the pictures I took this past week!Family picture in our PJ's! :)
