My weekend In Utah...

I went to Utah for a quick weekend to go to one of my old roommates wedding. It was a very fast weekend and I missed not being with Josh (he stayed home to hold down the fort), but it was also very nice to see my family and friends.

Angie is the one who got married, then there's Di and Janell holding the flowers. We all used to be roommates and had so much fun!

Here is a picture of the snowy mountains from my parent's house. They've been hit hard by all the storms this year! But it was very beautiful to look at!

Josh's birthday...we celebrated for a week straight!

For Josh's birthday this year Scott and Mom got us a sweet condo in Orlando for the weekend so we invited a few friends and all went to the Universal's Island of Adventure and Universal Studios theme parks! We had a great time and were so excited that our friends wanted to join us. We wish even more people could've come...maybe next time! Wednesday was Josh's actual birthday and we were both busy all day. Josh took the evening off of work and went over to Barry to play soccer with our friend Punj and his intramural team. Then we had a bunch of our friends over for what I thought was going to be ice-cream cake...I guess I made a mistake in the freezer at the grocery store! Oh well, it was great to have so many good friends around us this past week to join us in our celebrations!

Josh was very excited about his birthday present!

The new shoes and clips for his road bike!
I tried to get a picture of the party goers..

This is a picture of us in front of the Hulk ride which was our favorite! We went on it 3 times in a row at the end of the night and all felt a bit dizzy after! I think we might be getting old or something! Josh loves skunks!
The girls-we all workout together so we tried to show our muscles!

More Christmas vacation photos!!

We went sledding on Christmas Eve this year...after all of the family festivities of course. We headed out around midnight and it was snowing like crazy! I was worried about getting up the canyon since we were in my parents Lincoln towncar! But, we made it safely and had a great time playing and sledding in the new foot of powder! It was a great way to bring in the Christmas holiday!!

Christmas and New Years...

Happy 2008 Everyone!!
We took a trip to Utah for Christmas and spent a week...we had a great time playing in all the snow! It was great to see the beautiful mountains and spend time with family and friends! I tried to get most of our activities on camera; however, as usual my camera stayed in it's case the majority of the time! Whoops! So here are a few snapshots from some of the fun times we had while visiting Utah. We hope everyone had a great holiday and a happy new year. We hope all is well with you...enjoy the next few pictures!

This is actually when we got back to Miami on New Year's Eve...Josh was rockin it out on guitar hero at a friends house!

Josh did most of the packing for home since we had so much stuff to haul back to Miami. He tried to take Roxie home with us too but I guess she didn't like being in a suitcase all that much!

This is us snowmobiling in the Uintah's...it was a cold day (about 4 degrees!) but so much fun! Josh, me, Christina, Dad.

Dad took this picture, don't mind his glove in the corner!! This was one of the 4 snowmobiles we had that day.

Madeleine, Garrett, and Chloe on the snowmobile (my uncle and 2 cousins). Garrett was the reason we got to go snowmobiling...he has a share with his doctor group so he can get them whenever throughout the winter! Thanks again Garrett!

Josh loved it and only got stuck once!!

These are two of my cousins...Andrew (5) and Adam (11) singing together on Christmas Eve. They did a great job!

Josh's first experience with the Day Family Christmas Eve tradition of figgy pudding! It's delicious!! Not really but we eat it anyway...every year!

Mom and I at temple square seeing the Christmas lights! It was cold and snowy and beautiful as always.

Josh and I with the reflection pool and temple behind us.

Temple square pictures cont...these lights were mom's favorites because they were orange!

Turkey Day with the family...

Josh and I spent our Thanksgiving in California! We had a great time and wish we could have stayed longer. We loved the cool weather, colorful trees, and of course the time spent with family! We are so grateful we were able to go and enjoy the holiday with those close to us!

Enjoying our Thanksgiving feast!

Home Sweet Home

Let me take you on a tour of our apartment...some of our family and friends have asked for pictures of our home so I figured the easiest way to show everyone was to post some pictures. We live in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in North Miami, our apt sits right on the water which connects to the intercoastal waterways. It's a beautiful area, and a good, safe area which is so important here in Miami! It's small but perfect for us....of course we welcome any friends or family who would like to come out and experience this crazy place!! Plus, we're only about 1-2 miles from the beautiful bright blue waters of the Atlantic! You should all come and play!

This is what you see when you walk in the front door...(the speakers came out of the car I totaled in Sept and no longer sit there!)

Looking at the same area from across the room...our dining area.

Kitchen (duh)

The family room-from the kitchen

The family room at a different angle-from the dining area.

This is our extra bedroom...we use it as an office and a second bedroom if people come to visit and of course an inside storage for our bikes so they don't rust outside on the balcony!

Our new header...

Isn't our new header so fun??? Our good friend Jamie designed it for us! She's awesome with computer stuff-I think I should take some lessons from her! Well I've had a few hectic weeks with school and haven't had a chance to do much other than study. Anyway, I thought I should post some pics of Halloween before Thanksgiving comes (since it's less than a week away!). So our ward had a "trunk or treat" that we made into a carnival because it was moved inside due to a threatening tropical storm. We had a lot of fun! Hope you enjoy!

I was a mad doctor that had "body parts" for sale. The kids had to put their hands in different holes to try to find the candy-but most of the time they got brains, guts, or eyeballs!

Our friends, the Recaldes, talked Josh into being Captain Moroni! He loved wearing a "dress"! He held arm-wrestling competitions with the kids and missionaries!

Josh doused me in blood and glued a gunshot wound to my face. He's also the one who did all the hard work for our "trunk" that turned out to be a table due to the storm.

Haha! This was at the youth mult-stake Halloween dance. We went to chaparone as well as drive most of the youth to the dance. I was a big fat mechanic and Josh was "Josh Clark"-so original!
